Bertling Group has strengthened its position in Europe with the acquisition of Pfaff International GmbH, a logistics company headquartered in Baienfurt, southern Germany.
The acquisition expands Bertling’s European footprint by adding Pfaff’s offices and teams in southern and northern Germany, as well as operations in Rauma, Finland. The move will also provide Bertling with access to Pfaff’s established client network across Germany and Europe, creating new opportunities for growth and service expansion.
Pfaff customers will continue to be supported by their existing account managers, ensuring continuity of service throughout the integration process. Over time, they will gain access to a broader portfolio of logistics solutions, including global heavy lift, project logistics, engineering and air freight services.
“This acquisition marks an important milestone in our growth strategy in Central Europe,” said Colin MacIsaac, CEO of Bertling Logistics. “Germany is where our company was founded and it has always been a key logistics hub for us. By joining forces with Pfaff, we are expanding our network in Germany and enhancing our ability to support customers with an even stronger German expert team.”
The integration will focus on combining the expertise, systems and operational processes of both organisations while maintaining service quality and customer relationships.
“We are excited to become part of the Bertling Group,” said Peter Kienle, Managing Director of Pfaff. “Our shared commitment to quality and customer service combined with our can do attitude makes our companies an excellent fit.”
Hendrik Bulmahn, Managing Director of the Bertling Group, added: “We are dedicated to ensuring a seamless integration that respects what Pfaff stands for and has achieved since its foundation 15 years ago. We look forward to jointly becoming the logistics partner of choice in Germany and beyond.”
