CCS expands heavy haulage capability

5/5 - (1 vote)

Carter Contracting Services Ltd has strengthened its position in the heavy haulage sector with the acquisition of a new state of the art girder frame, following months of planning and detailed market research. The investment responds to growing demand for specialist transport solutions within the UK energy supply chain.

The company said it carried out an extensive research and development programme to better understand the evolving requirements of the sector, particularly as projects become larger and more technically demanding. The addition of the girder frame is designed to provide an enhanced solution for transporting heavy electrical components and other oversized loads, offering the market an additional option at a time of increasing infrastructure activity.

Alongside the transport equipment, CCS has also developed an installation system to complement its heavy haulage services. The newly designed jack and skid solution has a capacity of 400 tonnes and enables equipment to be delivered and positioned from port to final plinth as part of a fully integrated, turnkey approach.

By combining advanced transport capability with engineered installation solutions, CCS aims to set a new standard for heavy electrical transport and installation services in the UK. The company said the latest developments mark the beginning of a new phase of growth and expressed confidence in supporting both existing and new clients as energy sector projects continue to expand.
