Trailer Dynamics, known for its eTrailers, has teamed up with Trane Technologies’ Thermo King to push forward electrification in the European transport and logistics sector. Thermo King, a global leader in sustainable climate solutions, has become a strategic investor and partner alongside German trailer manufacturer Krone.
This collaboration aims to commercialize electrified trailer solutions, advancing decarbonization efforts and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The eTrailer technology, developed by Trailer Dynamics, offers significant diesel and CO2 emission reductions when combined with traditional internal combustion tractors. It also extends driving range when paired with electric-powered tractors and can power electrified or traditional trailer refrigeration units.
Thermo King brings its expertise in electrification and transport refrigeration solutions to the table. Together, they plan to integrate technologies to revolutionize the industry, enhancing logistics capabilities for trade, industry, and freight forwarders dealing with fresh and frozen goods.
