Geodis, one of the global leaders in transportation and logistics, has named Xavier Avrard as its Chief Strategy Officer.
Avrard, who joined Geodis in 2014 as Group Controller, has played key roles in the company’s growth, including managing the acquisition of OHL in 2015 and spearheading the Odyssey digital transformation program in 2019. He recently took charge of strategic development for the Europe region, focusing on integrating trans-o-flex, a recent acquisition.
As of July 1, 2023, Avrard leads the new Group Strategy Department, responsible for corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, post-merger integration, and strategic investments. Prior to Geodis, he held financial roles in major international groups and holds degrees in economics and management control and audit.
