Southhampton-based Meachers Global Logistics has added seven new specialist vehicles to its fleet as part of a £1.5million investment programme. More fleet replacements will be brought in over the next 12 months in all depots, liveried in the Meachers’ yellow and red branding that has been used for the past 60 years. The total investment is expected to be in excess of £1.5 million and include a comprehensive trailer replacement scheme. All the new vehicles will be fitted with the latest camera technology in line with the London direct vision permits.

Meachers Fleet Director Jamie Terris said: “Meachers is thrilled to be investing for the future with this brand new fleet of specialist vehicles which will bring a wider range of services to our customers. The investment programme will make the Meachers brand more prominent over the entire business and allow for even more growth in the future.”

Gary Edmondson, Territory Manager at Adams Morey, Southampton, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Meachers Global Logistics on supplying the latest batch of vehicles, which includes five new DAF XGs, part of the New Generation DAF range, a truly game-changing vehicle which sets new standards for driver comfort, safety and efficiency. We’d like to thank the team at Meachers for continuing to choose Adams Morey and the DAF product, and we wish them all the very best with the new vehicles.”
