Sarens Nass Middle East (SNME) and Greek wind installation specialist Anipsotiki have formed a strategic joint venture to target wind projects across the Middle East, securing their first contract with Goldwind.
The partnership combines SNME’s regional heavy lifting and transport capabilities with Anipsotiki’s specialist wind turbine installation experience across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Together, the JV has access to more than 100 pieces of wind installation equipment, including crawler cranes, mobile cranes and specialist installation tools.
For its first Goldwind project, the partnership will deploy 58 pieces of equipment, including high-capacity crawler cranes and auxiliary cranes, to support the installation of tower sections, nacelles and blades.
“This joint venture brings together complementary strengths and a shared ambition to build lasting wind installation capabilities in the Middle East,” said Alhanoof Sami Nass, Regional Director of Sarens Nass Middle East and Board Member of the JV.
SNME has operated in the region since 2003 and today manages a fleet of more than 4,000 cranes and transport units serving oil and gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, port and industrial projects.
Anipsotiki brings dedicated wind installation teams and experience from projects in demanding environments across several international markets.
The JV is targeting the Middle East’s expanding renewable energy sector, where wind and solar developments are expected to drive significant new demand for specialist lifting and installation services.
Wim Sarens, CEO of Sarens Group, said the partnership represents the next step in building dedicated wind installation capability across the Gulf.
The Goldwind award marks the first project for the new JV and is intended to establish the partnership as a long-term player in wind turbine installation across the region.
