Palfinger has opened a new Sales & Service Hub in Madrid following an investment of around €20 million, strengthening its presence across Spain and Portugal.
The 22,000 m² facility brings sales, service, mounting, logistics and spare parts operations together at a single location and marks the tenth anniversary of Palfinger Ibérica.
A key part of the expansion is increased mounting capacity, with the number of production lines rising from 10 to 16. Palfinger said the larger setup will provide greater flexibility and improve coordination between commercial, technical and service teams.
The new hub also incorporates renewable energy systems, energy-efficient windows, intelligent lighting and automated climate control aimed at reducing energy consumption.

Jörg Schopferer, Managing Director of Palfinger Ibérica, added that the integrated facility would improve operational efficiency while supporting higher mounting output and faster customer service.
The investment forms part of Palfinger’s Strategy 2030+, with the company targeting further profitable growth and stronger local capabilities across the Iberian market.
