CEVA Logistics and EFL Africa have launched a new joint venture in Nigeria, strengthening their presence in one of West Africa’s most important and rapidly growing logistics markets.
Operating as CEVA EFL Limited, the partnership combines EFL Africa’s established local expertise and infrastructure with CEVA Logistics’ global network and end to end supply chain capabilities. The move is designed to enhance connectivity between Nigeria, West Africa and international markets while offering customers a broader range of logistics solutions.
The joint venture will provide integrated freight forwarding, customs clearance and inland logistics services. A key feature of the operation is its dedicated barge service, enabling shipping containers to be transported from Lagos ports to Inland Container Depots, reducing reliance on congested road networks and improving transit times.
CEVA EFL also operates 140,000 square metres of Inland Container Depot space across Ikorodu and Apapa, including an export processing terminal. In addition, customers will benefit from customs clearance services managed by an in house licensed team.
The partnership is expected to support the development of Nigeria’s logistics sector through investment, knowledge transfer and expanded access to global trade opportunities.
“This joint venture represents a bold step forward in our commitment to connecting Nigeria and West Africa to the world,” said Sylvain Kluba, Vice President of Finance IMEA at CEVA Logistics. “By combining CEVA’s global reach and logistics expertise with EFL’s deep local knowledge and infrastructure, we are creating a logistics ecosystem that drives growth and unlocks new opportunities in this high potential market.”
“We are thrilled to partner with CEVA Logistics to launch CEVA EFL,” added Yemi Adunola, CEO of EFL. “By leveraging our combined strengths, we are creating value for customers through efficient, integrated and customer focused solutions while supporting economic growth across the region.”
