Gulf of America Logistics has announced the opening of a new Baton Rouge office alongside the appointment of Jake Minner as vice president of operations for specialised transport and trucking.
Minner brings 17 years of heavy-haul experience from a major industrial carrier and will lead the company’s asset-based heavy-haul transportation division from the new office. His experience includes extensive work across Louisiana’s energy and petrochemical corridor.

“Jake has spent nearly two decades doing specialized transport in this state, he knows these roads, these routes, and these clients. That kind of embedded expertise is exactly what GoAL is built on,” said Brent Patterson, CEO and co-owner of Gulf of America Logistics.
The Baton Rouge facility becomes the company’s fourth office in Louisiana, joining locations in Bossier City, Lafayette and Rayville, each serving key industrial regions across the state.
The company is also securing port facilities in Cameron Parish near the Sabine Pass and Cameron LNG terminals as it positions itself within Louisiana’s growing LNG investment market. In addition, GoAL has secured exclusive asset-based trucking agreements across the Gulf Coast to provide customers with direct equipment access.
Founded in 2025, the company was established by Brent Patterson, a former senior vice president at Blue Water Shipping, together with Louisiana entrepreneur Rock Bordelon.
“Louisiana’s industrial market is the hottest in North America,” said Patterson. “We saw a gap where out-of-state firms were winning big contracts while local businesses weren’t seeing the full benefit. Our mission is to close that gap permanently.”
Bordelon added: “My mission has always been to build a future where our children and grandchildren can stay in Louisiana, raise their families here, and be proud to call this state home. GoAL is not just a business investment, it’s a commitment to creating an economy where hardworking Louisianans can succeed without having to leave the state they love.”
