From a small Finnish garage to an internationally recognised company, Dynaset Oy marks four decades of innovation, built on practical engineering, determination, and a strong family heritage.
Forty years ago, in a modest garage in Finland, engineer Reijo Karppinen began manufacturing hydraulic generators with a clear ambition: to transform the machinery world. That vision laid the foundation for Dynaset Oy, now recognised globally for its hydraulic generators, power washers, and compressors.
Today, the family-owned company employs 130 people across Finland and international locations including Canada, Germany, India, China, and Australia. Its portfolio has expanded to more than 40 products serving industries from construction to rescue operations, supported by a strong global partner network.
Despite rapid industry changes, Dynaset has maintained its pioneering position through its unique technology and customer-focused approach. Deep understanding of machinery and operator needs has enabled seamless integration across machine brands, while Finnish engineering and strict quality control ensure reliability. Each product is thoroughly tested before entering real-world use.
Innovation remains at the company’s core. In 2025, Dynaset made a significant leap by introducing a new electric product family alongside its established hydraulic solutions. Reflecting this evolution, the company adopted the slogan “Partner of Your Machine.”
Leadership remains firmly within the Karppinen family.
“Of course, I hope that Dynaset will remain a family business for the next forty years and beyond,” reflects Reijo Karppinen, while acknowledging that future decisions must serve both employees and customers.
