Following the award for the handling and storage of wind turbine components at Germany’s Port of Brake by a leading global turbine manufacturer, deugro Germany has signed a strategic agreement with J. Müller, the port’s operator.
The partnership brings together deugro’s two decades of global expertise in wind energy logistics with J. Müller’s advanced port infrastructure and experience as a specialist terminal operator on the North Sea coast.
The Port of Brake offers state-of-the-art facilities for heavy and oversized cargo, including heavy-lift quays, cranes, expansive laydown areas, and customized truck exit routes. Its 11.9-meter draft and ability to berth vessels up to 275 meters make it ideally equipped for handling rotor blades and other renewable energy components.
“This agreement reflects our commitment to delivering tailored logistics solutions for the renewable energy industry,” said Christian Schulz, Vice President Global Strategic Accounts at deugro. “Brake’s strategic location and the operational excellence of our local partner create the ideal setup for efficient and secure handling of wind turbine components across Germany and beyond.”
Simon Junker, Head of Renewable Energy | Onshore Wind and Cable at deugro, added: “This partnership strengthens our role in the wind energy supply chain and supports Germany’s transition to sustainable energy.”
