A Liebherr HC-L luffing jib crane is making its debut in Slovakia as part of the construction of Skypark Tower, the fifth and final high-rise in Bratislava’s landmark Skypark development. Climbing to a height of 145 metres, this crane plays a pivotal role in the ambitious urban project alongside two other Liebherr cranes.
Designed by the late Zaha Hadid, Skypark Tower is poised to be the tallest in the complex, reaching 120 metres with 30 floors and covering 55,000 square metres of premium office space. The building emphasizes sustainability and is targeted at international businesses.

The construction site is powered by three Liebherr cranes: the newly delivered 190 HC-L, with a 55-metre jib, climbing from 60 to 145 metres; a 150 EC-B 8 Litronic with a 45-metre jib reaching the same height; and a 110 EC-B 6 with a 32.5-metre jib reaching 57.7 metres. The 190 HC-L was supplied from Liebherr’s Tower Crane Center in Bad Waldsee, while all equipment was sourced and supported locally by Kranimex, Liebherr’s Slovakian dealer.

Two of the cranes were assembled in 2024, with the 110 EC-B joining the site in early 2025. Operated by Skanska Slovakia, the cranes’ modular design and performance are essential for the smooth progress of this complex construction.
Once completed, Skypark Tower will become a defining feature of Bratislava’s skyline and a symbol of its ongoing urban transformation.
