Bennetts Cranes, the official Raimondi agent in the UK, has deployed a Raimondi LR213 luffing jib crane for a major new residential project in Battersea, London. The 24-storey luxury riverside tower, developed by Ghelamco, marks the Polish real estate group’s second UK project—both of which featured Raimondi cranes.
“The deployment further strengthens our partnership with Ghelamco,” said Edward Seager, Managing Director of Bennetts Cranes. “The LR213 was chosen for its performance on tight urban sites.”
Installed in Q1 2025 using a 500-tonne mobile crane, the LR213 was erected to a freestanding height of 92m with a 44.5m jib and a tip load of 4.51t. It features a 55kW hoist and a maximum lifting speed of 104m per minute.
Selected for its high capacity, flexible jib configurations, and compact 17.6m out-of-service radius, the LR213 is well-suited for the constrained jobsite, facilitating safe operations while avoiding overflying adjacent properties.
The crane will remain onsite for approximately two years during the construction of the 113-unit tower, which will include a rooftop garden and premium amenities. The development is set to become a striking addition to London’s modern skyline.
