Mammoet has expanded its electric equipment offering with the addition of two Eco500 self-propelled transportersfrom Cometto. These compact, battery-powered units are designed for use inside buildings and in tight spaces where traditional trailers cannot operate, and where zero-emission operations are required.

The Eco500 features a unique design with its power pack integrated beneath the platform, and Cometto’s patented pendulum suspension, allowing for efficient movement of heavy loads in confined areas. Despite its size, the transporter boasts a lifting cylinder for jacking, 360° mobility, and remote-control operation. Its ultra-low profile measures only 670mm in height when lowered.

With configurable axle setups—from two to four axles or dual four-axle arrangements—the Eco500 can handle loads from 67 to 274 tonnes. The unit helps reduce noise, streamline on-site operations, and cut down the amount of machinery required on jobs.

This investment supports Mammoet’s “zero-emissions on site” initiative, adding to its growing fleet of electric SPMTs, cranes, and skidding systems aimed at helping clients meet 2030 sustainability targets.

The Eco500 is compact, electric, and fully compatible with our lifting systems—making it a great addition to our fleet,” said Ludo Mous, Global Asset Director SPMT at Mammoet.

Adrian Zingan, Product Manager at Cometto, added: “We’re proud to offer an emission-free solution for intralogistics with the Eco500. Mammoet’s interest confirmed the need for compact, electric transport technology.”
