Sarens has partnered with Vatana Phaisal Engineering (VPE) to execute key heavy lifting operations at VPE’s facility in Sattahip, Chonburi, Thailand. VPE, with over 60 years of expertise in steel fabrication, modularization, and industrial installations, selected Sarens for a two-month collaboration to support the manufacturing of custom steel structures and pre-fabricated components.
For this project, Sarens deployed its GMK 5220 mobile crane with a 220-ton lifting capacity, chosen for its adaptability and advanced hydraulic systems. The crane will lift vessels weighing 23.4 tons and measuring 18 meters in height, as well as 22-ton heat exchangers measuring 9.2 meters. These components are critical for large-scale industrial and construction projects.
Working in a confined area required meticulous planning and engineering studies to ensure safety and efficiency. Sarens’ team safely maneuvered the loads within a 14-meter radius, performing a 120-degree rotation before placing them on low-bed trailers for further installation.
Ukrit Phorjai, Sarens Sales Manager, expressed gratitude to VPE for their trust and alignment in safety and excellence, stating, “We look forward to future collaborations.”
