Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) will bring the lifting industry to Liverpool on 24–25 November for LiftEx 2026, combining new lifting technology, equipment demonstrations, inspection expertise and technical presentations at Exhibition Centre Liverpool.
The free-to-attend two-day event will bring together manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, inspectors, buyers and end users working across construction, engineering, manufacturing, offshore, oil and gas, logistics, utilities, defence and entertainment.
Visitors will be able to examine lifting equipment directly, discuss applications with manufacturers and compare technologies covering lifting, rigging, load monitoring, materials handling, height safety, inspection and equipment management.

Among the lifting equipment suppliers exhibiting will be AP Lifting Gear Company, Atlas Winch & Hoist Services, Ganser Liftsysteme, GGR Group, Hird, Liftket UK, Modulift UK, Reid Lifting, Rope and Sling Specialists, Tiger Lifting and TTC Lifting.
Chains, ropes, slings and rigging equipment will also form a significant part of the exhibition, with companies including Bekaert, Carcano, CODIPRO, Dolezych, Green Pin, JDT, Marlow Ropes, pewag UK, RUD Chains, Talurit and YOKE Industrial represented.
Load monitoring technology will be presented by companies including Dynamic Load Monitoring, Load Monitoring Systems and Red Rooster Lifting, while a range of digital equipment management and inspection systems will be demonstrated by Core Inspection Software, coreRFID, Engineering Reporting, JCM Load Monitoring, Motion Software, Papertrail and RiConnect.
One of the main areas of focus for 2026 will be LEEA’s Proficiency Testing initiative, designed to allow lifting professionals to demonstrate how they approach real-world equipment inspection. Visitors will be able to participate in an Inspection Challenge and discuss inspection techniques directly with the LEEA team.
New lifting and inspection technology
A two-day programme on the Showcase Stage will provide technical demonstrations and presentations from across the lifting sector.
Rob Whitehurst-Maiden, Sales Director at RiConnect UK, will discuss the company’s Digital Product Passport and its use in providing lifting products with a digital identity to improve traceability and compliance with the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation.

CoreRFID and SpanSet UK will demonstrate the tracking and tagging of lifting chains using CheckedOK. The session will include SpanSet’s new Exoset Grade 10 Chain Sling range and demonstrate how an aftermarket RFID tag can provide access to manufacturer information, inspection history and pre-use checks.
Load monitoring will also feature prominently. Martin Halford, Chairman of DLM, will join representatives from Chant Engineering and Forged Fiber to discuss the integration of DLM load pin technology into a new Dyneema fibre Hybrid Lifting Shackle, combining load monitoring with a lighter lifting component.
pewag will present its G12+ chains alongside new lifting technology including a hydraulically driven Load Balancer and Compensator and the levo automated hook.
Artificial intelligence will also enter the inspection discussion. Graham Macpherson, Head of Product at Motion Software, will demonstrate Hindsight, an inspection tool that uses AI to analyse an asset’s historical inspection data and produce a concise summary for an engineer before an inspection begins.
Inspection skills in focus
LEEA will use the event to place additional emphasis on inspection quality and decision-making.
Adam Chipperfield, Project Manager at LEEA, will conduct a live walkthrough of the Association’s new Member Assessment process.
On the second day, Ryan Hillyer, Student Support Officer at LEEA, will examine commonly missed defects during inspections and discuss what makes an inspection report clear and effective.
Scott Barnes, Senior Learning and Development Specialist at LEEA, will look at the factors behind sound inspection decisions and explain how LEEA’s PDCA Inspection Model can be applied during equipment examinations.
Training providers including Carl Stahl Evita, Elevation Training & Development and Qualitrain will also be present, while LEEA’s own team will provide guidance on training, technical issues and Association membership.
LEEA Awards return to Liverpool
The first day of LiftEx will conclude with the LEEA Awards Dinner on 24 November at the Rum Warehouse in Liverpool.
The annual event recognises achievements across the lifting sector and will this year feature British astronaut Tim Peake as guest speaker.
LiftEx 2026 takes place on 24–25 November 2026 at Exhibition Centre Liverpool and is free to attend.
