Dutch manufacturer Dijvler is expanding into the sea-going vessel market with a new range of anchor and mooring winches, following the acquisition of C-Nautical’s designs, drawings, rights and certifications.
The move extends Dijvler’s activities beyond its established inland waterway business, where the company has supplied more than 2,000 winches since its foundation in 1977.
Over the past two years, Dijvler has reviewed and standardised the former C-Nautical portfolio into a new product programme for cargo vessels and offshore support vessels.
The winches carry type approval from Bureau Veritas and Lloyd’s Register, including Marine Design Appraisal, and are certified to current ATEX requirements.
Production can be carried out through a partner facility in China, while Dijvler’s site in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, the Netherlands, also provides the option for European manufacture. Design control, quality assurance and aftersales support remain managed from the Netherlands.
The company has already secured several orders from Damen Cargo Vessels and Briese Schiffahrt, with the first deliveries planned from 2027.
“We have been building winches for nearly fifty years. That continuity is what we are bringing to the sea-going market,” said Laurens van Gelder, Owner and Director of Dijvler.
Dijvler said it is also reconnecting with former C-Nautical customers for legacy installations, spare parts, servicing and equipment upgrades.
