XCMG has reported record-breaking results from its 8th International Customer Festival, securing more than US$1 billion in signed orders and reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading construction machinery manufacturers.

Held in Xuzhou, China, from 19 to 23 May, the event attracted more than 2,500 customers and partners from over 100 countries and regions under the theme “Green Intelligence for a Better World.” The order volume represented the highest value ever achieved during the company’s flagship customer event and highlighted growing global demand for XCMG’s expanding portfolio of equipment, technology and integrated solutions.

A major focus of this year’s festival was XCMG’s evolution from a traditional equipment manufacturer into a provider of complete, scenario-based solutions. Live demonstrations showcased a range of applications, including intelligent earthmoving, green energy projects and smart mining operations, allowing visitors to experience the company’s latest technologies in real-world operating environments.

Among the highlights was XCMG’s self-developed unmanned equipment management system, which acts as a centralised control platform for fleets of autonomous machinery. During demonstrations, autonomous excavators, mining trucks and bulldozers worked together to perform excavation, hauling and compaction tasks without human intervention. The technology attracted significant attention from customers seeking to improve safety, productivity and operational efficiency in demanding mining environments.

Sustainability was another key theme throughout the event. XCMG presented a broad range of new energy equipment, including fully electric, hybrid and tethered-electric machines, reflecting the industry’s growing shift towards lower-emission operations. The company also unveiled its integrated “Source-Grid-Load-Storage” energy ecosystem, which combines power generation, energy storage, charging infrastructure and equipment applications into a unified solution designed to support industrial decarbonisation.

Further strengthening its global customer support capabilities, XCMG officially launched XCMG CONNECT, a new digital service ecosystem designed to connect equipment, customers, spare parts and service networks through a single intelligent platform. Built around the concept of “One App, One Intelligent Agent, One Ecosystem,” the system provides customers with full lifecycle fleet management, predictive maintenance capabilities and enhanced operational visibility.

During the event’s Engineering & Mining Industry Development Forum, XCMG Chairman Yang Dongsheng emphasised that green and intelligent development has become a necessity rather than an option for the construction and mining sectors. The company also introduced its “GROWTH 2030” strategy, outlining its vision for future industrial transformation and inviting global partners to collaborate on innovation and sustainable development.

Senior executives from major industrial organisations, including Minmetals and Baowu, joined customers from Oceania, South America and other regions to discuss mining industry trends, supply chain collaboration and the future role of intelligent and new energy technologies.

Beyond the technology showcase, the festival highlighted XCMG’s focus on building long-term partnerships across international markets. With annual revenues exceeding RMB 100 billion for seven consecutive years and a position among the world’s top three construction machinery manufacturers, XCMG continues to strengthen its global presence while accelerating its transition towards intelligent and sustainable equipment solutions.
