Building on its acquisition of key Terex Corporation lifting brands, Raimondi Cranes has strengthened its position as a multi-segment lifting solutions provider with a bold return to a legacy product category through the launch of a new telecrawler crane line.
Introduced by Terex Corporation, a Raimondi business division, the new line debuts with the Terex TTC 70, designed, engineered and manufactured at the Group’s rough terrain headquarters in Crespellano, Bologna, Italy. The launch marks a significant strategic milestone for the company, with additional models expected to follow in the near future.
“The unveiling of the TTC 70 marks a pivotal moment for Raimondi as we continue to evolve into a fully integrated, multi-segment lifting solutions provider, meeting the evolving needs of the global lifting industry,” said Luigi Maggioni, chief executive officer of Raimondi Group.
He added that the expansion into the crawler crane segment reflects the Group’s commitment to innovation and diversification, while building on a strong engineering heritage and extending its global footprint.
The new telecrawler range has been developed to bridge a gap in the market, combining the mobility of crawler cranes with the operational efficiency and ease of use traditionally associated with rough terrain cranes.
Unlike conventional rough terrain machines that rely on outriggers and require fully levelled conditions to operate at maximum capacity, the TTC 70 is mounted on crawler tracks, eliminating the need for outriggers and allowing operation on slopes of up to four degrees. This, combined with lower ground pressure and higher lifting capacities while travelling compared with wheeled counterparts, makes the crane well suited to compact jobsites, uneven terrain, and infrastructure or energy applications.
“The decision to re-enter the crawler crane segment reflects shifting industry requirements, particularly in applications where versatility, mobility and performance in challenging environments are critical,” said Stefania D’Apoli, global sales director for the Terex Rough Terrain division.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 70 tonnes, the TTC 70 features a maximum boom length of 36.8 metres and a drum capacity of 215 metres of lifting rope. Power comes from engine options in Stage V and Stage IIIA configurations, both equipped with a 300-litre fuel tank. The Stage V engine delivers 168kW at 2,200rpm, while the Stage IIIA version provides 164kW at the same engine speed.
The machine incorporates a range of advanced technologies designed to enhance performance, safety and operator experience, including the TEOS operating system adapted for crawler cranes, T-Link connectivity and an electronic dynamic management system for the main hydraulic pump to optimise performance and fuel efficiency.
Operator ergonomics have also been improved through a redesigned cab with increased space, intuitive joystick controls and enhanced accessibility. A latest-generation remote control system allows full machine operation, enabling tasks such as counterweight assembly and disassembly to be performed by a single operator, reducing setup times and improving jobsite efficiency.
Designed and built in compliance with EU safety standards, the TTC 70 offers optimised transportability, with a maximum width of 3 metres and reduced transport weight when configured without counterweights. High component commonality with the TRT range is also intended to simplify maintenance and improve familiarity for users.
Targeting key markets including the United States, Canada and Europe, the new telecrawler line is expected to attract demand from rental companies, contractors and infrastructure specialists.
The first TTC 70 units are scheduled for delivery in 2026, following an extensive testing programme involving both internal validation and field trials to ensure performance and reliability under real-world conditions.
