Davies Turner has expanded its fleet of Krone hanging garment mega trailers in response to growing demand on the UK, Ireland and Morocco trade lanes.
The latest investment increases the number of trailers dedicated to Moroccan services to 35 high-specification units, supporting rising volumes from the fashion, retail and automotive sectors. Growth has been particularly strong in automotive components, including parts linked to electric vehicle production.
The new Krone trailers feature steel walls, roofs and doors, providing enhanced protection against break-ins and stowaways. Each unit is equipped with GPS satellite tracking and remote door monitoring systems, offering real-time visibility and improved security throughout the transport process.
The enlarged fleet supports daily full-load trailer services as well as groupage departures operating from Thursday to Saturday for both imports and exports. Standard transit times between Morocco and the UK or Ireland range from four to five days, with express services reducing this by up to 24 hours and speedy van transport enabling delivery in as little as 72 hours.
Davies Turner’s long-established presence in Morocco, supported by local partnerships and dedicated on-the-ground expertise in Tangier, enables efficient handling of customs procedures and load management across factories, ports and free zones. The company also plays an important role in Ireland–Morocco movements, particularly for aerospace and automotive customers operating just-in-time supply chains.
