TII Scheuerle has launched a electric Power Pack Unit (ePPU) for its Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT), delivering the same high performance as the most powerful diesel-driven PPU while producing zero local emissions. This innovative solution aligns with global efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and offers heavy-load logistics providers a sustainable alternative.

The ePPU’s battery capacity is designed for a full working day without recharging, making it ideal for enclosed spaces and tunnels. Quick charging options enable a rapid boost from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes via a CCS power plug or overnight charging using an AC grid connection.

Heavy-duty transport companies can benefit from the ePPU’s dynamic power output, which provides maximum torque from the start, ensuring superior traction and quick transport speeds. The electric motor is four times more energy-efficient than diesel engines, reducing energy and maintenance costs. The ePPU’s low noise emissions also create a more pleasant and safer working environment.

The zero-emission drive system opens new business opportunities, particularly where environmental criteria are central to tendering processes. Investment in sustainable transport solutions can enhance ESG ratings, reflecting strong environmental, social, and governance practices.

With compatibility across Scheuerle SPMT axle lines from generation 2 to 4, TII Scheuerle continues to set industry standards for sustainable, efficient, and powerful heavy-load transport.
