Loughran Rock Industries has strengthened its quarrying operations with the addition of a Rokbak RA30 articulated hauler, supplied by Sleator Plant. The new truck enhances efficiency and productivity at the County Armagh-based company, known for producing up to 500,000 tonnes of aggregate annually.

Since its establishment in 1985, Loughran Rock has invested in high-performance equipment to support its extensive operations. The Rokbak RA30, manufactured in Scotland, now plays a key role in transporting materials such as stone, sand, and rock-fill across the quarry site to the main crusher and concrete bins. Customised with body side extensions, the hauler maximises load capacity for lighter materials while maintaining optimal efficiency.

The Rokbak truck has reinforced our operations and strengthened our position as a trusted supplier,” said Colin Loughran, quarry manager. Its agility and durability are ideal for navigating the site’s challenging conditions.”

Loughran Rock selected the RA30 for its 28-tonne payload, independent suspension for superior stability, and fuel efficiency. Operator Cathal Devlin praised the truck’s visibility, comfort, and reduced fuel consumption, stating, “Compared to our previous truck, we now refuel every three to four days instead of every two.”

Sleator Plant, Rokbak’s authorised dealer in Northern Ireland, ensured that Loughran Rock received comprehensive aftermarket support, including a one-year full warranty and three-year powertrain warranty.

With the RA30’s reliability, durability, and our responsive aftersales service, we knew it was the perfect choice for Loughran Rock,” said Aaron McCaul, Sleator Plant’s general manager.
