Subsea7 and bp Forge Innovative Subsea Partnership

Subsea7 made an announcement regarding the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by Subsea Integration Alliance1. The objective of this MoU is to establish a framework agreement with bp for integrated subsea developments.

Within the scope of this framework agreement, Subsea Integration Alliance intends to collaborate with bp starting from the initial concept selection stage, throughout the entire field life cycle. The aim is to enhance the performance of subsea projects by implementing innovative working methods and a novel commercial model. To oversee and manage activities throughout the program, a dedicated team will be assembled. 

Olivier Blaringhem, CEO of Subsea Integration Alliance, expressed, “This agreement represents a significant shift in how our highly collaborative teams cooperate to achieve shared goals for mutual benefit. Together with bp, we are committed to delivering more environmentally friendly energy solutions to the world by optimizing long-term subsea performance.”

Ewan Drummond, bp’s Senior Vice President of Projects, added, “Subsea Integration Alliance has been a vital supplier to bp for many years.
