MacGregor, a division of Cargotec, has secured a substantial order exceeding EUR 25 million for the provision of general cargo cranes destined for ten multipurpose vessels with a deadweight tonnage of 84,500, constructed in Asian shipyards.

This lucrative contract has been officially recorded in Cargotec’s order book for the third quarter of 2023. The slated delivery timeline for these cranes spans from the fourth quarter of 2024 to the first quarter of 2026.

The scope of this order encompasses a total of 40 cranes, each boasting a lifting capacity of 75 tons. These cranes are intricately connected to a comprehensive global service support network and are further fortified with an active safety system, ensuring the highest levels of operational security.

“I’m very proud of the confidence that the shipyard has shown in choosing us to supply cranes for this important project. We look forward to providing our customer with our high-class equipment and services,” says Magnus Sjöberg, Senior Vice President, Merchant Solutions, MacGregor.
