Bahri Logistics’ business unit, Bahri Line, has officially launched a new pendulum service that connects Asia and Europe. This new cargo shipping line, which operates through Jeddah Islamic Port, forms part of Bahri’s expansion strategy to broaden its liner network, improve its supply chains, and offer a wider range of shipping options to and from Jeddah Islamic Port.

The service line runs from Bremerhaven in Europe, through Antwerp and Montoir, to Jeddah, then to Ennore in India, and finally to the Port of Taicang in China. On the return journey, the route starts from Taicang and Shanghai in China, goes through Ennore and Jeddah, and ends in Montoir-de-Bretagne in western France, before continuing on to both Bremerhaven and Antwerp.

Bahri Line’s creation of this new shipping line through Jeddah Islamic Port is a proactive move aimed at boosting local logistics capabilities and linking Asia and Europe directly via Jeddah. The inaugural voyage of this new service line began this year, with the first vessel expected to arrive at Jeddah Islamic Port in early February 2023.

Commenting on the launch of the new service line, Eng. Soror Basalom, President of Bahri Logistics stated: “We are excited to further expand our scope by launching our latest service line through Jeddah Islamic Port. The port’s leading operational capabilities, best-in-class standards and capacity to handle high volumes will surely serve as vital aspects of the success of this new service, helping us to cement the port and Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub linking India, China, and Europe.”
