Jan Kleijn will leave Mammoet on 1 February 2027 after 30 years with the company, including 15 years in senior leadership roles.
Kleijn began his career with Mammoet in operations and logistics before progressing through a series of management positions. He later became the company’s first employee to be appointed CEO and has served as COO since 2017.
During his time in leadership, Kleijn played a major role in the development of Mammoet’s global heavy lifting and engineered transport business, helping strengthen its international presence and operational capabilities.
Mammoet also highlighted his focus on people development, workplace culture and creating opportunities for employees to progress within the organisation.
“Jan has always believed that executive decisions must be made with the long term in mind – a principle central to Mammoet’s success,” said Mammoet CEO Joost Goderie.
“He is confident the time is right to pass the baton to the next generation of leadership, and that Mammoet is well-positioned for what lies ahead.”
Over the coming months, Mammoet’s Executive Board of Management will focus on transferring Kleijn’s responsibilities to ensure continuity across the business.
Kleijn’s departure will mark the end of a three-decade career with Mammoet spanning operational, executive and strategic leadership roles.
