dteq Transport Engineering Solutions has appointed Hagen Hennig as its new President, effective February 1, 2026. The leadership transition marks the continuation of a long-standing internal career, with Hennig bringing nearly a decade of experience within the organisation and more than 17 years in transport engineering and project logistics.

Hennig joined dteq in 2017 as Port Captain and was promoted to Technical Director in 2022. A certified Master Mariner and Port Captain, he holds a diploma in maritime transport as well as a Master of Science in maritime management. Over the years, he has built a strong track record managing and personally overseeing complex transport engineering projects and heavy shipments for destinations worldwide.

Throughout his career, Hennig has been closely involved in projects of varying scale and complexity, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineered solutions tailored to demanding logistics environments. His hands-on approach and technical expertise have been key to supporting clients in sectors where precision and reliability are critical.

Commenting on his new role, Hennig highlighted the evolving importance of transport engineering in modern heavy logistics. He noted that growing project complexity and earlier client engagement are reshaping expectations, with engineering expertise now required from the earliest planning stages. He also emphasised the strength of dteq’s global engineering team, whose diversity and experience continue to drive innovative and safety-focused solutions for heavy cargo projects worldwide.
