DEME has taken delivery of its second new wind turbine installation vessel, Norse Energi, at the CIMC Raffles Shipyard. The vessel is the sister ship of Norse Wind, which was delivered recently, and has been purpose-built to support installation of the next generation of large-scale offshore wind turbines.

Designed by GustoMSC and constructed by CIMC Raffles, Norse Energi features advanced technology, high lifting and loading capacity, and sustainable design elements. The vessel is engineered to handle offshore wind turbines with rotor diameters exceeding 300 metres and XXL monopiles weighing up to 3,000 tonnes, operating in water depths of up to 70 metres.

DEME confirmed the vessel was delivered on schedule, with strong quality performance and an excellent safety record. Norse Energi will now be finished in DEME’s distinctive green livery.

Together with Norse Wind, the new vessel will play a key role in delivering some of the world’s largest offshore wind farms in the coming years. Both installation vessels are already contracted for offshore wind projects in Europe and are expected to enter service during the first half of 2026.
