Assistedile Srl, Raimondi Cranes’ official agent for Milan, Monza and Brianza, has deployed two Raimondi flat-top tower cranes to support the construction of a new hospitality development in one of Milan’s most prominent business districts.
The project, Hotel Scarampo, is owned by Fondazione Fiera Milano and will feature 260 rooms along with retail and leisure spaces. Positioned in a high-visibility area of the city’s modern commercial hub, the development reinforces Assistedile’s long-standing presence in Milan’s skyline.
“It is rewarding to contribute to another landmark project in the city by deploying two Raimondi cranes from our fleet—one T187 and one MRT234,” said Luciano Friso, General Director of Assistedile, noting the company’s involvement in more than 80 active projects nationwide. He highlighted that this site sits adjacent to BFF Bank’s headquarters, completed in 2024 with the assistance of Raimondi cranes.

Installed on embedded elements, the cranes will remain on site for approximately 18 months. The MRT234-12t, erected in January 2025, is freestanding at 102 metres with a 55-metre jib and a 55kW hoist delivering speeds up to 120m/min. The newly delivered T187, installed in June 2025, also features a 55-metre jib and is currently standing at 90.5 metres. It will ultimately reach 115 metres through a planned climbing system.
The project’s dense urban location required detailed logistics and close coordination during installation. “Positioning and erecting the cranes demanded precision due to the tight working area,” Friso explained.
Both cranes were selected for their efficiency, performance and versatility—key requirements for the site’s evolving construction needs.
The MRT234 is scheduled to remain operational until late 2026, while the T187 will be dismantled once structural works conclude. Assistedile continues to refresh its 110-crane rental fleet, including new additions from Raimondi’s T Series.
