Hiab has signed an agreement to acquire ING Cranes, a leading Brazilian crane manufacturer, in a move that significantly strengthens its presence in one of South America’s key markets. The company, a global provider of smart and sustainable on-road load handling solutions, says the deal aligns with its long-term strategy for both organic and inorganic growth.

Founded in 2010, ING Cranes has rapidly developed into a strong market player with a solid reputation in Brazil’s crane industry. In 2024, the company reported approximately EUR 50 million in sales and currently employs around 250 staff.

The acquisition of ING Cranes is a logical step in Hiab’s growth strategy,” said Scott Phillips, President and CEO of Hiab. “Over its 15-year history, the company has shown profitable growth, and we believe this transaction will boost our market presence and ability to deliver more value to customers and stakeholders.”

According to Marcel Boxem, VP Sales & Product Management for Hiab Loader Cranes, Heavy and Superheavy, the combined offering positions Hiab to become the leading loader crane supplier in Brazil by merging global expertise with strong local capabilities.

The addition of ING Cranes enhances Hiab’s existing portfolio, enabling a full range of loader cranes from light to heavy-duty for sectors including agriculture, construction, rental, and transportation.

The transaction is expected to close in early 2026, subject to standard regulatory approvals. The purchase price will remain undisclosed.
