JSC RIKON has successfully commissioned a second RMG-type container gantry crane at the facilities of First Dry Port Terminal LLC in Tashkent. The delivery follows the earlier installation of the first unit under a previously signed contract.
The newly commissioned crane is identical to the first unit, with a maximum lifting capacity of 41 tons under spreader. Key specifications include a 10.8-meter cantilever length, a 7-meter operating outreach, and a 17.1-meter span between the legs. Equipped with advanced control systems from leading global manufacturers, the crane ensures high reliability, operational precision, and energy efficiency.

Like its predecessor, the new RMG will support container operations in the terminal’s expansion area, which plays a vital role in the international East-West and North-South transport corridors. Strategically located along the historic Great Silk Road, the First Dry Port Terminal covers 22 hectares and includes eight railway tracks with a total length of 5,300 meters, a covered customs warehouse, open customs areas, a customs control zone, and multiple loading/unloading platforms.
The addition of this second crane will enhance the terminal’s ability to handle rising cargo volumes, improve operational efficiency, and further consolidate its role as a key logistics hub connecting Asia and Europe.
