From October 8-10, 2024, Hyster welcomed dealers and customers from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to its Test Centre in Weeze, Germany, for Impact Live 2024. The three-day event showcased Hyster’s “Powering Your Possibilities” vision, featuring advanced equipment and tailored solutions for industries like ports, terminals, and heavy sectors such as steel, wood, and construction.
A key highlight was the preview of Hyster’s new lithium-ion battery-powered trucks, including the Hyster J10-18XD electric lift truck series. These vehicles deliver internal combustion engine-level performance with loads up to 18 tonnes, affirming Hyster’s commitment to sustainable power. “At Hyster, we’re dedicated to helping businesses tackle operational challenges with sustainable solutions,” said Robert O’Donoghue, Hyster’s Vice President of Marketing EMEA. Event sponsor EnerSys also introduced its NexSys Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) battery technology for Hyster’s heavy-duty applications.
Impact Live featured dynamic demonstrations of heavy-duty equipment, such as ReachStackers and empty container handlers, as well as a direct comparison between Hyster’s ICE and electric trucks. Visitors gained insights into Hyster’s operator assistance systems, telematics, and fleet management tools, all designed to optimize handling and productivity.
Beyond product showcases, Impact Live offered a valuable platform for collaboration among industry experts. “Impact Live was about more than our tough trucks,” O’Donoghue emphasized. “Bringing together dealers and customers allowed us to exchange ideas and reinforce our commitment to solutions that drive business success.”
