Tata Projects Leads Construction with Potain Cranes

Indian construction giant Tata Projects is spearheading the development of the new Noida International Airport near New Delhi. To handle lifting tasks for this massive project, the company has purchased two Potain MCT 565 A topless tower cranes and rented an additional three MCT 385 A tower cranes from Rental Partners.

The Noida International Airport, poised to be India’s largest and most significant airport, is set to revolutionize the country’s aviation infrastructure.

The Potain cranes are pivotal in constructing the main terminal building, slated for completion by the end of 2024. The MCT 565 A M25 models, with a maximum capacity of 25 t and an 80 m jib, have been extended to an impressive 85 m in collaboration with Manitowoc’s Lift Solutions, enhancing jobsite coverage.

Alok Banik, deputy general manager of plant & machinery at Tata Projects, lauds Potain’s quality and durability, emphasizing the company’s longstanding relationship with the brand. The MCT 565 A cranes, capable of lifting loads ranging from 1 to 4 t, along with the MCT 385 A L16 cranes, configured with a 75 m jib length, are crucial for meeting tight construction deadlines, highlighting the importance of reliability and crane speed.
