Potain has unveiled its latest self-erecting crane, the Evy 30-23 4 t, marking the debut of the Evy range. Developed through the Voice of the Customer product development process and in response to market demands for simplicity and increased height under hook, the crane complies with the updated European Safety Standard EN 14439.
Designed specifically for home and residential building construction of up to three stories, the Evy 30-23 4 t offers a straightforward setup, requiring less manual operation compared to similar cranes. With a maximum capacity of 4 t and a substantial 30 m jib providing a 1 t capacity at the tip, it ensures precise handling of heavy loads over a wide radius. The variable jib positions, ranging from 10 to 30 degrees, deliver a maximum height under hook of 35 m with a 30-degree raised jib. The crane’s hydraulically foldable jib can be shortened to 15 m or 24 m as needed. It features a three-phase power system and permanent four-fall reeving.
Equipped with the CCS Crane Control System, Smart Set-up, Power Control, and Drive Control, the Evy 30-23 4 t provides operators with complete control and precision on the jobsite. Its ergonomic design enhances operator comfort by reducing manual operation and minimizing fatigue.
The crane also includes the Potain CONNECT telematic modem, allowing users to monitor and analyze crane utilization. Through the Access and Assist applications, it enables remote and local diagnostics, fostering greater efficiency and informed decision-making. For transportation convenience, the Evy 30-23 4 t is compatible with existing axles, allowing easy transportation as a trailer at 25 km/h or as a semi-trailer at 80 km/h.
