ELME has launched a new reach stacker attachment capable of handling steel coils weighing up to 45 tonnes, combining side gripping, hydraulic sideshift and rotation for precise positioning in restricted industrial environments.
The new Coil Grabber 719G grips coils from both sides, allowing operators to handle loads in areas where space is limited. Rounded lifting surfaces, rubber supports and soft rear padding are designed to protect the steel coil during lifting and positioning.
Hydraulic sideshift provides ±500 mm of movement and can be operated while the load is lifted, giving operators additional flexibility during placement.
The attachment also offers 195° clockwise and 105° counterclockwise rotation, supporting more precise orientation of coils during handling and storage operations.
The 719G accommodates coil widths from 1,015 to 2,340 mm and outer diameters of up to 1,900 mm, with alternative dimensions available on request.
Designed for installation directly on the reach stacker boom head, the attachment can also be supplied with an optional Tool Changer interface. Its structure can be disconnected to simplify transport between locations.
Control is managed through a CAN bus system using the J1939 protocol.
The Coil Grabber 719G expands ELME’s range of specialist attachments for reach stackers, targeting steel handling applications where high load capacity, compact working areas and accurate positioning are required.
