Liebherr is presenting the LTM 1090-4.3, the latest evolution of its 90-tonne, four-axle mobile crane, marking another step in the rollout of its new LICCON3 control system and updated crane design. The new model will make its debut at Conexpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas.

The LTM 1090-4.3 succeeds the LTM 1090-4.2, with the updated designation reflecting the integration of the third-generation LICCON control platform. LICCON3 introduces completely new software architecture, a faster data bus, greater memory capacity and increased computing power, while retaining the familiar Liebherr operating concept. Operators benefit from a redesigned interface, including a large touchscreen display, and cranes are now prepared as standard for telemetry and fleet management via the MyLiebherr customer portal.

The upgrade also brings a redesigned driver’s cab and crane cab, featuring improved displays, a multifunction steering wheel and a modern heating and air-conditioning system with sun sensor. LED lighting packages enhance visibility and durability across the superstructure, boom and vehicle.

Maintaining its 60-metre telescopic boom, the LTM 1090-4.3 delivers higher lifting capacities, particularly when the boom is fully extended and at steep angles—an advantage for tower crane assembly. The crane continues to offer flexible axle load configurations of 10, 12 and 16 tonnes, with up to 8.8 tonnes of counterweight carried at 12 tonnes axle load, reducing the need for additional transport.

Safety and efficiency are further enhanced by driver assistance systems including Blind Spot Information and Moving Off Information systems, as well as fuel-saving ECOdrive and ECOmode functions. Features such as VarioBallast, VarioBase and preparation for RemoteDrive underline Liebherr’s focus on performance, flexibility and customer value in the 90-tonne class.
