SAL Heavy Lift and Intermarine, part of the Harren Group, have announced a streamlined global services portfolio designed to provide customers with access to a full range of heavy lift and multipurpose shipping solutions. Operating a combined fleet of around 80 vessels, the newly aligned SAL organization offers unmatched global capacity for complex cargo movements across multiple industries.

The new structure unites SAL Heavy Lift, SAL Engineering, SAL Offshore, Intermarine, and Intermarine Bulk Carriers under a single brand: SAL. Intermarine is now operating as SAL Intermarine, while SAL Engineering continues as the Group’s in-house engineering division. Together, they deliver an integrated service model for heavy lift, multipurpose, offshore, and bulk transport—ensuring safe and efficient project execution worldwide.

This alignment reflects the diversity of our customers’ needs,” said Dr. Martin Harren, CEO of SAL and the Harren Group. Some require liner reliability in the Americas, others global tramp flexibility or ultra-heavy lift expertise. By streamlining our structure, we reduce complexity and give clients direct access to the right ships, skills, and speed every time.”

SAL’s expanded portfolio combines world-class heavy lift know-how with dependable liner services in the Americas through SAL Intermarine, and advanced project engineering via SAL Engineering. With a growing modern fleet, including the new Orca Class vessels and other specialized ship types, the Group continues to invest in technology, sustainability, and operational excellence.
