Chapman Freeborn has announced the appointment of Saska Gerasimova as its new Group CEO, effective October 20. She succeeds Eric Erbacher, who transitions to the role of Chair of the Chapman Freeborn Holdings Board of Directors.
This leadership change marks a key milestone for the company, reflecting its commitment to renewal, strategic growth, and long-term customer focus. Gerasimova brings extensive experience in aviation leasing, air freight, logistics, and fleet management. Before joining Chapman Freeborn, she served as Senior Supply Chain Manager at Amazon Air Europe and previously held positions as Fleet Director and Leasing Manager at Smartwings Group.
“Chapman Freeborn has a clear strategy toward our 2030 goals, centred on customers, strategic delivery, and market presence,” said Gerasimova. “I look forward to working closely with our teams worldwide to strengthen relationships and deepen our understanding of local operations.”
Erbacher, who led Chapman Freeborn for over five years, will now focus on customer engagement, major deals, and strategic direction in his new position. “I’m delighted to welcome Saska and look forward to working with her to further enhance our global operations,” he said.
Gerasimova will be supported by the company’s Executive Committee, including Group COO Bernardo Nunes, who will oversee legal directorships within subsidiaries, ensuring a seamless leadership transition. Russi Batliwala remains on the Board to provide ongoing guidance and continuity.
