Combined Cargo Terminals B.V. (CCT) in the Netherlands has ordered a Konecranes Gottwald ESP.7 Mobile Harbor Crane, equipped with an external power supply to help meet growing cargo volumes and CO₂ reduction goals. The order was booked in Q1 2025, with delivery to CCT’s Moerdijk terminal scheduled for Q3 2025.

This marks the 8th Gotwald crane in CCT’s fleet. The new ESP.7 crane, featuring a 51-meter working radius and improved driver visibility, offers a higher container handling classification, promising greater performance and extended service life.

Powered by an external grid connection, the crane will further reduce fuel consumption and local emissions. It will operate alongside CCT’s fleet of Konecranes reach stackers to maintain high handling speeds across the terminal.

“This latest crane gives us the visibility, reach and speed needed for the larger vessels now calling at the terminal,” said Luc Smits, Managing Director of CCT. “Konecranes has been a key partner in our growth since 2005.”

Located between Rotterdam and Antwerp, the Moerdijk terminal is a vital multimodal hub for rail, road, and water transport in Europe.

“This order continues a trusted partnership of nearly 20 years,” said Giuseppe Di Lisa, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Mobile Harbor Cranes at Konecranes. “We’re committed to supporting high-performance and eco-efficient port logistics.”
