Beacon Roadways Limited, a shareholder member of Pall-Ex, is celebrating major growth with a move to a new 36,000 sq ft site in Stourbridge — nine times larger than its previous premises.
The long-established haulage firm, founded over 48 years ago, specialises in general haulage and palletised freight. Its rapid growth led to the relocation from a 4,000 sq ft site, enabling Beacon to expand its services to include warehousing and storage.
The new facility offers 33,000 sq ft of storage space, larger offices, and a bigger yard to support its growing fleet. The addition of warehousing is already proving a valuable asset to the company’s distribution services.
Over the coming months, Beacon Roadways also plans to further expand its fleet to meet increased demand.
Emma Pain, Managing Director, said: “This expansion comes at a key moment of growth for Beacon Roadways. With new initiatives, increased volumes, and enhanced services including European and International distribution, we’re proud to be scaling up while maintaining the quality our customers expect.”
Beacon has also invested in pallet racking, launched a new website, and introduced new IT systems to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Pall-Ex’s Rebecca Wayte added: “Beacon Roadways is a forward-thinking business. Their new site marks a significant milestone, and we’re thrilled to see the positive impact of their Pall-Ex membership.”
