Express Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd. (EXG), a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), has successfully transported a massive 250-ton transformer over 1,929 km across India in a landmark heavy-lift operation.

The transformer, measuring 10.2m x 4.3m x 4.6m, required an 18-axle hydraulic trailer to ensure balanced load distribution and protect road infrastructure. Due to restrictive terrain and infrastructure challenges, EXG engineered and built three custom bypasses to navigate around low-capacity bridges and tight curves — each constructed in just 15 days.

The project, completed in 60 days, involved a complex approval process, with nearly two months dedicated solely to securing government permissions. These were obtained in advance to avoid delays during the 30-day transport phase.

Daytime-only movement along the bypasses drew large crowds, turning crowd control and safety into a critical part of operations. EXG managed public safety with disciplined on-ground coordination, ensuring smooth and secure passage of the cargo.

Strict safety protocols, real-time risk assessments, and constant monitoring ensured the transformer arrived without incident or damage. This project exemplified not only EXG’s engineering and logistical capabilities but also its expertise in compliance, planning, and execution under pressure.
