DEME has signed an agreement to acquire Norwegian offshore wind contractor Havfram, in a move to strengthen its position in the global offshore wind market. The €900 million deal includes acquiring all shares from current owners Sandbrook Capital and PSP Investments, as well as funding the completion of two advanced wind turbine installation vessels.

Headquartered in Oslo, Havfram focuses on transport and installation services for offshore wind projects. The company has a €600 million orderbook and is supporting major wind farms from 2026 to 2030. Its two next-gen vessels are expected to be delivered in late 2025 and early 2026 and are already contracted for work starting mid-2026.

DEME CEO Luc Vandenbulcke said the acquisition will enhance the company’s operational flexibility and fleet capabilities, further cementing its leadership in turbine and foundation installations.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of April 2025, after which Havfram will become part of DEME’s Offshore Energy segment.
