At bauma 2025, Wolffkran is introducing a major breakthrough in wireless crane operation: WOLFF Intuitive Control, an advanced system that redefines how tower cranes are controlled via remote. Instead of focusing on crane movement, the new technology centers on the movement of the load itself, offering a more intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly experience on the construction site.
Until now, wireless crane operation has required experienced operators to break down a desired load movement into individual commands for slewing, trolley travel, and hoisting. They also had to mentally translate their perspective into the crane’s coordinate system, a process that often led to confusion and potential errors.
WOLFF Intuitive Control removes this complexity by introducing a Cartesian control system. Operators can now move the control unit in the direction they want the load to travel, and the crane does the rest. This intuitive approach allows for more precise, smoother handling, particularly in environments with limited visibility.
The system is operated via an ergonomic wireless remote that can be comfortably worn on the hip or back, giving operators full freedom of movement. The optional integration of the WOLFF Cam display ensures constant visibility of the load.
Designed exclusively for wireless control, WOLFF Intuitive Control is available for new WOLFF cranes and can be retrofitted on existing models.
