Bigge Crane and Rigging, the Houston-based crane rental giant, has purchased 27 cranes from the German manufacturer, marking a strong start to the international trade fair for construction machinery.
The order includes twenty LTR 1220 telescopic crawler cranes, three LR 1700-1.0 and three LR 1500 crawler cranes, and one LTM 1230-5.1 all-terrain crane. Most of the new machines will be deployed across the U.S. energy sector.
“With Liebherr, we appreciate more than just the quality of the products. In addition to top service, we can heavily rely on the training provided for our team of specialists who work with the mobile and crawler cranes,,” said Weston Settlemier, Managing Director of Bigge Crane and Rigging.
Bigge operates a fleet of more than 1,600 cranes and construction hoists. The company’s relationship with Liebherr dates back to 2001, when it acquired its first new crane from the German manufacturer. Since then, the two companies have built a close and reliable partnership.
The Liebherr team in Ehingen was on-site at bauma to celebrate the order with Settlemier, hailing the 27-crane deal as a highlight of the show and a strong signal for the year ahead.
