Palfinger has officially launched its latest innovation, the PK 880 TEC loader crane, on the opening day of bauma 2025. This powerful new addition to the TEC range will be available for order in the EMEA region starting summer 2025.
Designed for top performance in tight spaces, the PK 880 TEC boasts impressive lifting power, smart assistance systems, and a highly responsive control system. Its lightweight P-profile boom increases payload capacity while maintaining a compact structure. Enhanced visibility is ensured with an advanced lighting setup featuring working lights and LED strips.
“We created the PK 880 TEC to meet real operator needs,” said Alexander Susanek, COO at Palfinger. “It’s a game-changer in terms of design, features, and efficiency—and just one of many upcoming innovations in our pipeline.”
Key features include Slewing Lock for safety in restricted areas, Memory Position for repeated precision lifts, and the Leveling Assistant that reduces setup time by up to 80%. The new CONNECTED plus+ system enhances fleet coordination and project planning through real-time device status and the intelligent Job Planner tool.
Operators can choose between two remote control options: the established high-end P7 or the new lightweight P6 with over 40 hours of battery life and a user-friendly display.
The PK 880 TEC can also be fitted with Palfinger’s Electric Power Unit 40, enabling seamless switching between diesel and electric modes. This allows longer operating times and use in noise- or emission-sensitive environments. The unit is interchangeable across trucks, offering cost-effective fleet flexibility.
Under its bauma 2025 theme “Go for Solution P,” Palfinger is also presenting the PK 24.001 SLD 5 with a multifunction adapter (MFA) for rapid equipment changes, and the PK 53002 SH, engineered for smooth, high-performance lifting thanks to the BOOM RELEASE ASSIST system.
