Combilift has launched its Self-Propelled Inloader, the COMBi-SPI, at Bauma 2025, setting a new benchmark in handling high and oversized loads within production and yard environments.

Designed to transport precast concrete, wall panels, and glass A-frames, the COMBi-SPI was developed as a cost-effective and manoeuvrable alternative to traditional trailers and trucks. The project began in April 2022, with Dutch precast specialist Spaansen playing a key role in its evolution—particularly influencing the switch to a fully electric model mid-development. This change prompted a complete redesign to incorporate electric wheel motors and battery storage within the legs of the machine.

Key features include a side-facing cab for optimal visibility, sliding load supports, a pivoting dual-wheel configuration, and 300mm ground clearance for versatile yard usage. The COMBi-SPI is available in electric, diesel, and LPG variants, all equipped with large solid tires for durability.

With a compact chassis and tight turning radius, the COMBi-SPI dramatically improves efficiency by reducing the need for multiple trailers and shunters, slashing operational costs for industries dealing with heavy, oversized loads.

“This project highlights Combilift’s commitment to innovation and customer-led design,” said Josh Moffett, Heavy Equipment Manager at Combilift.
