Bäsmann Kran- und Transport GmbH has expanded its crane fleet with the addition of a Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane, replacing an older 60-tonne model. The new crane offers long reach, compact dimensions, and a flexible erection jib, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

After three decades, the North German company has returned to Liebherr. Managing Director Florian Bäsmann explained, “We thoroughly evaluated the market and received valuable feedback during the Liebherr Customer Days. The versatile performance and extensive product range convinced us to choose the LTM 1060-3.1, fitting perfectly into our mid-range segment.”

The LTM 1060-3.1 boasts impressive lifting capacities and a long telescopic boom. Designed for on-road driving with ample ballast, it features intelligent counterweight configuration, enabling quick and easy driving setups. ECOmode and ECOdrive functions enhance cost-efficiency, while VarioBase technology and wireless remote control ensure precise handling.

The crane’s primary tasks will include work on biogas plants, steel and concrete construction, and agriculture. Bäsmann also ordered a special folding jib for indoor work, such as crane runway installations.

Crane driver Andreas Lenz praised the LTM 1060-3.1 for its advanced technology, stating, “It’s a premium product with innovative features, from the supports to the BTT wireless remote control.” Colleague René Rubarth added, “We’ll review the technical features closely before the first job.”
