Haji Hassan Cranes, a leading crane and lifting company in Bahrain, has strengthened its fleet by ordering one LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane and two LTM 1090-4.2 cranes from Liebherr. The investment aligns with the company’s strategy to modernize its fleet and meet the Kingdom’s growing demand for mobile crane services.
With the new acquisitions, Haji Hassan Cranes now operates 13 mobile cranes and aims to cater to various sectors, including oil refineries, steelworks, petrochemical plants, general construction, and HVAC installations. The company’s fleet currently offers lifting capacities from 50 to 500 tonnes and employs 30 specialized staff.

Manaf Al Sarabi, General Manager at Haji Hassan Cranes, highlighted the reliability and quality of Liebherr cranes. “Our previous purchases, including the LTM 1500-8.1 and LTM 1070-4.2, have given us a competitive edge. These cranes enabled us to safely execute a wide range of lifting operations,” he explained.
The new LTM 1160-5.2 crane, boasting a maximum load capacity of 180 tonnes, fills a gap in the company’s offerings, providing a versatile solution between the 120-tonne and 300-tonne cranes. Meanwhile, the two LTM 1090-4.2 units, equipped with 60-metre main booms and Liebherr’s VarioBase and VarioBallast technologies, will replace two aging 80-tonne cranes. “The 90-tonners’ short setup time and impressive lifting performance ensure safe and efficient handling of challenging lifts,” added Deepak Pillai, Operations Supervisor.

Al Sarabi praised Liebherr’s customer service and transparent business practices, noting, “Liebherr customer service supports us around the clock, and their transparency in all transactions has greatly increased our confidence in the brand.”
