Canadian company DeSantis Crane Service Inc. has expanded its fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane, bridging the gap between their LTM 1130-5.1 and LTM 1300-6.2. “The new 180-tonne crane will mainly lift prefabricated concrete parts, air conditioning systems, and serve as a taxi crane,” says Mark Martino, owner of DeSantis.
Equipped with ECOmode and ECODrive technologies, the crane reduces fuel consumption by up to 10%, combining environmental and economic benefits. Its VarioBallast system allows flexible configurations, ensuring adaptability to varying site conditions. With a 62-metre telescopic boom and additional jibs, the LTM 1160-5.2 achieves a maximum lifting height of 92 metres, ideal for construction tasks like wall assembly.
Mark Martino praises Liebherr’s reliability: “All our all-terrain cranes are from Liebherr because we trust the brand, and so do our customers.” DeSantis Crane Service, in operation since 1997, runs a fleet of 18 cranes, offering capacities from 25 to 165 tonnes, with a strong focus on responsiveness and 24/7 service.
