KENC Engineering has secured multiple contract awards from a leading Transport & Installation (T&I) contractor for a major UK offshore wind farm project. These contracts involve critical engineering scopes to outfit a purpose-built jack-up vessel that will support the safe and efficient installation of monopiles.
Under the scope of work, KENC will design and engineer several custom solutions, including a hose reel platform to house the hydraulic power unit (HPU), a hose saddle, a control cabin work frame, and a gangway platform. The primary challenge was to deliver lightweight, stable, and robust structures tailored to the deck requirements of the jack-up vessel. KENC’s design and finite element analysis teams collaborated closely to achieve solutions that meet the project’s demanding specifications for strength, weight, and safety.

Engineering work is already well underway, with completion targeted for the project’s commencement in 2025.
